According to coinmarketcap.com, the overall cryptocurrency market volume increased over the past day by 5.97%, reaching $72.83 billion.
DeFi's overall volume was $5.74 billion, or 7.88% of the 24-hour volume of the whole crypto market.
The volume of all stable coins is currently $66.77B, or 91.68% of the 24-hour volume of the entire crypto market.
At the moment, Bitcoin has a 40.08% market share, up 0.07% from yesterday. Unexpected selling, though, caused bitcoin to drop to a three-week low.
During the morning in Europe, Bitcoin dropped as much as 7.7% to $21,404 in a short period of time. Despite a minor recovery, it last stood at $21,969 at 1 pm.
Its market value as of today is $421,779,848,748. Ether was also down 5% at $1,753 when it was last trading, but it rallied and is now down 5.53% at $1,742.78.
