Xiaomi India on Friday appointed Alvin Tse as the general manager of the company, replacing Manu Kumar Jain's leadership role in the company. This organisation alteration will also involve inviting Anuj Sharma as the chief marketing manager again, as reported by the ET.
Serving the company for seven years, Jain, former Vice President and managing director, who had stepped down in September last year, has stepped up to a global role as group vice president and currently responsible for international strategy, marketing and PR.
Reflecting upon Alvin Tse's background, a British national, was in charge of the company's Indonesia business, posted as the general manager. He is also one of the co-founders of Xiaomi's sub-brand Poco.
Xiaomi is currently led jointly by Muralikrishnan B, the chief executive officer and Sameer BS Rao, the chief financial officer, in place of Jain. The following people will continue to stay in the same job role, after the restructuring.
Anuj Sharma, who used to be the country lead of Poco India, will rejoin Xiaomi India as the chief marketing officer, and will be responsible for leading brand and marketing strategy. He will play a key role in boosting the company's customer interaction across the nation, the company said.
